Developers, Jharkhand Government resolve solar power pricing deadlock

Solar developers and the Jharkhand government have resolved an 18-month long deadlock over the price of solar power, with the developers agreeing to a reduced tariff of Rs 4.95 per kwH.

French energy firm Engie SA and Dubai’s private equity firm Abraaj Group on Wednesday announced a partnership to build a wind power platform in India.

Hindustan Coca-Cola to source 40 per cent of power from clean energy

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola India, has set a target to source 40 per cent of its energy requirements using renewable and clean energy fuel, before the end of 2018 and has begun sourcing solar power from a private firm and compressed natural gas from public-sector gas major GAIL to fire its two boilers at two production units in Karnataka.

Delhi High Court approves draft bye-laws on waste disposal

A clutch of draft bye-laws on sanitary waste disposal in the Capital was approved by the Delhi High Court on Tuesday (September 19).
