TPDDL sets up solar microgrid project in Bihar village

In a step towards expanding rural electrification, Tata Power Delhi today implemented a solar microgrid project at a village in Vaishali district of Bihar.

Delhi L-G seeks deadline from municipal corporations to make waste-to-energy plants operational

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has directed the municipal corporations to give in writing, when the upcoming waste-to-energy plants in the city’s landfill sites will become operational.

The direction comes after L-G held a review meeting of the projects and environmental issues related to the landfill sites, on Tuesday.

Videocon launches solar energy air conditioner

Videocon, the consumer electronics and home appliances company, on Tuesday unveiled a Hybrid Solar Air Conditioner (AC). The company claims it's the world's first AC to run on solar energy.

NHRC notice on Bhavani water contamination

A day after the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) issued a notice to the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board seeking a report on the contamination of Bhavani river, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice to the chief secretary of Tamil Nadu government regarding the same.
