Government to install grid connected solar power plants in all Raipur Govt buildings

 The Chhattisgarh Government will implement 21,255 Kw grid connected solar PV system scheme for Government buildings located in Raipur city under Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.

Government notifies revised prices for LED bulbs and tubelights

The prices of energy efficient appliances distributed under the Centre's (UJALA) scheme have been revised to align them with the new Goods & Services Tax (GST) regime.

LED bulbs of 9 Watts are priced at Rs. 70 while LED tube lights of 20 Watts have a retail price of Rs. 220, according to an official release. Five-star rated fans will be available at Rs. 1,200.

Tariffs for solar power in Tamil Nadu touched as low as Rs 3.47/unit in reverse-auctions held over the weekend. The biddings were done for 1,500 MW solar plants.
