NTPC commissions 45 MW of Bhadla solar plant

India’s largest power generator NTPC Ltd today said it has commissioned another 45 Megwatt of its Bhadla solar power plant in Rajasthan and with this the company’s total installed capacity has become 48,188 MW.

Ganga cleaning: NGT warns officials against passing the buck

The National Green Tribunal on Wednesday slapped a Rs 50,000 fine on a scientist from the Environment Ministry but withdrew it later, warning officials against passing the buck on matters relating to the cleaning of Ganga.

Water levels at 91 Indian reservoirs at 41% of storage capacity

Water levels in India’s 91 major reservoirs were at 41% of their storage capacity, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.

Union Water Resources Ministry to recognize work done towards water conservation in villages

The Union Water Resources Ministry will identify villages who have done significant work towards water conservation and popularise them under the Centre's Jal Kranti Abhiyan.
