European utilities urge EU to raise green energy targets

Some of Europe's top utilities have called the EU's green energy targets unambitious, urging the bar to be raised in the fight against climate change, a letter seen by Reuters on Monday said.

Compost garbage on your own, waste generators told: Municipal Corporation Amritsar

Following the directions of the Ministry of Urban Development, the Municipal Corporation held a meeting with bulk garbage generators in the city. Owners of big hotels, clubs, restaurants, schools, colleges and commercial establishments participated in the meeting.

Gujarat High Court clears decks for state’s first wind auction

The Gujarat High Court on Monday dismissed a petition opposing the holding of the state’s first wind auction. An official at the state power distributor, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) that was to conduct the auction, confirmed that the decks were now cleared for it to go ahead with the auction.

Call for 10MW of floating solar at India’s Lakshadweep Islands

REC may fund Indian Railways’ drive to electrify entire network
