EST finalises contract to procure 40 electric buses for Rs 73 crore

BEST has finalised a contract to procure 40 electric vehicles 20 AC Midi and 20 non-AC Midi buses for Mumbai. The buses are being procured with around Rs 36 crore subsidy from the Centre under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid) & Electric Vehicles (FAME) India scheme. Indian government to punish veiled use of imports in DCR solar projects

The government of India has issued a memorandum informing that it will come down hard on those flouting the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) rules – in WTO permitted cases – where imported solar modules are used, but declared as locally made.

Indian scientists develop test bed to generate clean energy

Singapore Will Levy a Flat Carbon Tax on Companies Starting Next Year

Singapore will begin levying a carbon tax starting in 2019 in an effort to reduce the country’s greenhouse gas emissions and help make companies there more competitive. Kitsault Energy intends to turn waste into energy

Canada-based Kitsault Energy (KE) is planning to convert various industrial wastes into power in India and Canada. KE will use a patented and proprietary process to transform various types of waste, including wood from pulp and paper plants, food waste, animal manure, road waste, municipal solids and plant waste from invasive species such as Gando Baval.
