Green route: 2.3 MWp solar plant for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd

Kochi Metro Rail Ltd on Monday signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with AMP Solar India Private Ltd under which the latter will supply 2.3 MWp solar power to the agency.  The power generated by the plant will be connected to the power distribution system of KMRL. E-waste on Ramganga banks: NGT imposes Rs 10 lakh environment compensation on UP government

The National Green Tribunal today imposed an environment compensation of Rs 10 lakh on the Uttar Pradesh government for failing to take action on disposing e-waste from the banks of the Ramganga river in Moradabad. Solar tariffs perk up in latest Karnataka auction

Solar tariffs rose sharply from their lowest level in the latest solar auction of 860 MW conducted by Karnataka's Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL). Hyderabad planners' body calls for preparing climate change policy

The National Town and Country Planners Congress has recommended that climate change policies be prepared at the city level, adding that while preparing policies, local planning agencies, state and central government should be incorporated into the master plan. Since cities consume more than 70 per cent of all energy used, and produce 80 per cent of the greenhouse gas emissions, there is a necessity for climate change policy, the town planners congress said.

Global Green Bond Issuance Set To Grow to $250 Billion In 2018

Bihar: BREDA issues 40 MW PV rooftop tender

Karnataka: KREDL tenders 1.2 GW of solar PV

KREDL has tendered a 1.2 GW of  grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects to be installed in the Pavagada Solar Park, located in Tumakuru District of Karnataka. Overall, it envisages the installation of 24 systems (blocks) totaling 50 MW each.

Ramky setting up Rs 330-cr waste-to-energy plant
