SMEV Seeks Rs 20,000 Crore to promote electric vehicles in India

Electric vehicle (EV) makers' body SMEV sought an allocation of Rs 20,000 crore in the next two years for promoting EVs in the country and also urged the government to impose a "notional green cess" on conventional vehicles in the upcoming interim Budget to fund the drive. Orb Energy installs rooftop solar unit at Adwaith Textiles

Coimbatore-based Adwaith Textiles has tied up with Bengaluru’s Orb Energy for the installation of a 1 MW rooftop solar system.

Indian Railways drawing 4 GW solar project bid for powering locos

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited seeks to recover Rs 4,200 cr from utility firms

MERC on Tuesday heard a petition filed by state power utility firm, MSEDCL, which demanded recovery of Rs 4,200 crore from private power generation firms towards use of power from the common grid.
