Delhi Budget: Cabinet approves subsidy on electricity for farmers

The Delhi cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to give farmers a subsidy of Rs 105 per kilowatt on the fixed charge of electricity given under the agriculture connection in the national capital, Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot said. Now, the farmers will have to pay Rs 20 per KW on the fixed charge, which was till now Rs 125 per KW. ... Scientific disposal of construction and demolition waste should be carried out to check water and air pollution in the national capital, Delhi lieutenant governor Anil Baijal said Monday. New global wind installations to reach 55 GW per year to 2023

 New global wind power installations will reach 55 gigawatts (GW) or more per year until 2023, driven by significant growth in Southeast Asia and offshore wind globally, a report by the Global Wind Energy Council said. The global wind industry installed 51.3 GW of new capacity last year, down 3.6 percent from 2017. Total installed wind capacity reached 591 GW at the end of 2018 globally, up 9.6 percent from the end of 2017
