Siemens Gamesa bags 567 MW wind turbine order from ReNew Power

Wind turbine major Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy on Thursday said it has bagged a new order for 567 MW from ReNew Power, an independent power producer.

Madhya Pradesh: India’s Largest 100 MW Floating Solar Power Plant To Come Up In Khandwa

Madhya Pradesh is all set to establish India’s biggest floating solar power plant of 100 megawatt (MW) at Indira Sagar Reservoir in Khandwa, reports The Hitavada.

Karnataka govt to introduce 3,000 e-buses, says minister

Around 3,150 residents of Sushant Lok 2 Extension and Sushant Lok 3 can’t avail the grid-connected solar rooftop scheme because they are not direct DHBVN consumers.

EV makers seek lower duty on components, batteries

Two new India tenders launched

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the agency entrusted with conducting wind auctions, has released its sixth tranche (SECI 6) wind tender for 1.2GW.

The SECI 6 tender planned originally for 2.5GW and issued in May 2018 was later retracted and was scaled down to 1.2GW by the government as it argues that small tenders are more effective than larger ones.

The government should add solar and electric boats under the Faster Adoption and Manufacture of Electric Vehicles (FAME) policy in the upcoming Budget 2019, said Sandith Thandasherry, founder and chief executive officer, NavAlt Solar & Electric Boats, the company that launched India's first solar ferry in Kerala.
