India, Germany decide to cooperate on water, waste management

India and Germany on Wednesday agreed that after their robust bilateral economic cooperation, they will focus on the environment and cooperate on water and waste management. Govt nod for setting up 12,000 MW solar power projects

The government has given its nod to a proposal for setting up 12,000 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects with an estimated viability gap funding of Rs 8,580 crore. BIAL inaugurates 3.35 MW rooftop solar power plant

 Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) – operator of the Kempegowda International Airport -- on Wednesday inaugurated its rooftop solar power project. This solar plant will generate 3.35 MW of power for Bengaluru airport and an annual solar generation of around 4.7 million units. Tamil Nadu solar policy sets tall 9,000 MW target

Tamil Nadu government on Monday unveiled a new solar energy policy, which targets have 9,000MW of installed solar energy capacity in the state by 2023.
