Women's group set up solar panel making unit in Maha village - The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has provided technical support for the projectWardha: A women's self-help group has set up a solar panel manufacturing unit at a village here in Maharashtra, as part of a project aimed at encouraging women to take up jobs and sustain their livelihood, officials said. Talking to on Thursday, Wardha Zilla Parishad's Chief Executive Officer Dr Sachin Ombase claimed it to be the first such unit set up by a rural women's self-help group in the state. Ola partners with Siemens for electric vehicles manufacturing facilityRide-hailing major Ola on Wednesday said it has partnered with Siemens to leverage the latter's technology at its upcoming electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. SECI Payouts to Solar, Wind Developers up Slightly at ₹3.85 Billion in November 2020The Solar energy Corporation of India (SECI) paid nearly ₹3.85 billion (~$52.6 million) to solar and wind developers in November 2020, which amounted to over 60% of the total amount disbursed by the agency during the month.
