RERC fixes Rs 6/unit power tariff for EV charging stations

To pave the way for the growth of electric vehicles (EV), Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) has fixed the tariff for charging stations at Rs 6 per unit by creating a new category of consumer. The standard operating procedure (SOP) for establishing these electric vehicles (EV) charging stations were released by the department. The regulatory body has also decided to provide relaxation in permanent fee from Rs 135 to Rs 40 per month for these stations. MERC to allow floating of open tenders for Solar Projects

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has issued an order allowing the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to float open tenders for its solar projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) program adopting a continuous bidding process. The MSEDCL had filed a petition with the MERC stating that five of its tenders for 6.5 GW of solar projects floated over the last two to three years had received a disappointing response from developers. Adani Green Energy emerges as largest winner in hybrid auction

Adani Green Energy emerged as the largest winner in the 1200MW wind-solar hybrid auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India on Wednesday. The company won 600MW at a tariff of Rs 2.41 per unit. ABC Renewable Energy, and AMP Energy won 380MW and 130MW respectively at the same tariff. Private equity firm Actis Llp and Brookfield Asset Management Inc., among others, are eyeing Mahindra Susten’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business, besides its under-construction 600MW solar assets, said two people aware of the development, seeking anonymity. OIL signs pact with Assam Hydrocarbon & Energy Co

State-owned Oil India Ltd on Tuesday said it has signed a preliminary agreement with Assam Hydrocarbon and Energy Company Ltd (AHECL) for cooperation in oil and gas exploration and development as well as the marketing of natural gas in Assam. MG Motor India and Tata Power today inaugurated the first 60kW superfast EV charging station in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The facility is available to all the vehicles compatible with CCS/CHAdeMO fast-charging standards. The customers can charge their MG ZS EV up to 80 per cent in 50 minutes at the charging station. Asian Development Bank Approves $231 Million Loan for a Hydropower Project in Assam

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $231 million loan to develop the Lower Kopili Hydroelectric Power (LKHEP) facility in Assam.
