ARAI signs agreement with ISIE for electric solar vehicle rally

The Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA) and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch a national rally called electric solar vehicle championship (ESVC) 3000. This national rally is planned on the theme of world solar challenge, Australia, a statement issued by ARAI said on Wednesday. Sterlite Power secures Rs 2K cr funding to execute Lakadia Vadodara project

Sterlite Power on Wednesday said it has secured Rs 2,024 crore funding from IndusInd Bank and L&T Infrastructure Finance to execute Lakadia Vadodara transmission project. Sterlite Power has achieved financial closure for its Lakadia Vadodara Transmission Project Ltd (LVTPL), it said in a statement. Fossil fuels for power at turning point as renewables surged in 2019 - data

The use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil for generating electricity fell in 2019 in the United States, the European Union and India, at the same time overall power output rose, a turning point for the global energy mix. Power Trade at IEX Grew by 57% in February, REC Sales Increased

The volume of power traded at the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), the country’s largest online electricity platform, grew by 57 percent to 4,516 million units in February this year. The government has given its nod for a grant of Rs 478 crore to the waste-to-energy (WTE) programme for the remaining period of financial year 2019-20 (FY20). Kochi: Transport authority to issue permits to CNG, LNG, LPG and e-vehicles only

Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has decided to conditionally issue city permits to autorickshaws in Kochi. The new permits will be issued to autorickshaws, which ply on CNG, LNG and LPG, and electric vehicles. App-based two-wheeler rental startup Bounce has raised $6.5 million from venture debt investor InnoVen Capital, taking its total debt funding from the investor to around $12 million. India’s power generation from renewable energy sources stood at 10.325 billion units (BU) in January 2020, a 9.46 per cent increase from 9.433 BU generated in the same month last year, according to provisional data released by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), an arm of the power ministry.
