Govt may opt for golden share in Power Finance Corp. to retain control

The government may opt for a golden share in Power Finance Corp. (PFC) to ensure it remains a public-sector enterprise after absorbing Rural Electrification Corp. (REC), said officials with knowledge of the matter. The government holding in the merged entity is expected to drop below the halfway mark, possibly to 45 per cent, once the process is completed sometime in the current fiscal. It currently holds 59.05 per cent of PFC.

GAIL highest bidder for IL&FS wind assets with $689 million offer

GAIL (India) Ltd is set to complete the purchase seven wind power plants from India's debt-ridden Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS), after offering 48 billion rupees ($689.3 million), IL&FS said on Monday. SBI offers 20 bps discount on electric vehicle loans

Several wind energy projects in slow lane since 2017 auctions

A large number of wind energy projects have been bid out since auctions for such projects began in early 2017, both by Solar Corporation of India (SECI) and state agencies, but only a small fraction of them have been commissioned so far.
