Electric Vehicle Adoption Overshadowed By SUV BoomThere are now 200 million SUVs on the roads globally, up from 35 million in 2010, according to data the International Energy Agency (IEA). In fact, 60 percent of the increase of the global vehicle fleet since 2010 came from SUVs. Because SUVs are significantly less fuel efficient than smaller more compact cars, the impact on oil demand and greenhouse gas emissions is substantial. India to install 2.9 GW wind capacity in 2019: ReportAuctions were conducted for 5.2 GW until August 2019 but only 2.9 GW was awarded because of lack of developer interest. India is likely to install more wind capacity in 2019 than it did last year, but it will still be well below what it used to be earlier.
