Coca-Cola yet again top global plastic polluter

The Coca-Cola Co has emerged as the No.1 global plastic polluter for the second consecutive year, according to a report on the top 10 plastic polluting companies in the world. The beverages brand was followed by Nestlé SA and PepsiCo In. Break Free From Plastic, a global movement against plastic, organised 484 cleanups and brand audits in 51 countries spanning six continents. Wind to become largest power source by 2050, says Irena

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has released a new report named 'Future of Wind' in which it has suggested that wind energy could be the single largest source of power generation by mid-century. Indian State Of Punjab Plans 21% Electricity From Renewables By 2030

The north Indian state of Punjab has issued a draft renewable energy policy with a target to procure 21% of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030. Indian refiners' crude processing falls 6.9% in Sept year-on-year

India’s crude processing in September fell 6.89% from a year earlier, its biggest decline since June, as refiners shut units for maintenance and fuel upgrades, provisional government data showed on Tuesday. India, the world’s third-biggest oil importer and consumer, has set an April 1, 2020 deadline to migrate to Euro VI-compliant fuels to cut its carbon emissions.
