Green certificate sales down 2.25 per cent to 6.87 lakh in October

Sales of renewable energy certificates dipped 2.25 per cent to 6.87 lakh units in October as compared to 7.03 lakh in the same month a year ago due to lower supply, according to official data. Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and Power Exchange of India (PXIL) are the two power bourses in the country which are engaged in trading of renewable energy certificates (RECs) and electricity. The trading of RECs is conducted on the last Wednesday of every month. Pune: PMPML e-bus fleet swells, charging points remain few

The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has added 26 more electric buses to its fleet, taking the total number of such buses to 96. However, a source in the transport body said there is an immediate need to arrange charging points at more depots to correspond with the increase in e-buses. At the moment, the e-buses are operational on 19 routes. “The fleet had 70 e-buses and new buses have been added very recently. Bihar: Discoms to be fined for load shedding, says minister

Union minister of state for power and renewable energy (independent charge) R K Singh on Saturday said a tariff policy, which envisages imposition of fine on discoms (power distribution companies) for load shedding, has been submitted to the Union cabinet. Energy saving: Northern Railway introduces tech in 32 trains to cut energy bills

In an effort to cut down on its energy bills, the Delhi Division of Northern Railway has achieved an unprecedented feat by converting and successfully running 32 pairs of premium and express trains on the 'head on generation' (HOG) system. In a press statement, SC Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi, said: "The HOG system does not require any diesel oil consumption and as such will reduce air pollution and also noise pollution. China's Foton aims to sell 200,000 new energy CVs by 2025

Daimler's Chinese truck venture partner Beiqi Foton Motor aims to sell 200,000 new energy commercial vehicles by 2025, its chairman, Zhang Xiyong, told a conference on Saturday. Tata Power to operate EVs as part of its maintenance fleet in Delhi

Climate change could reverse India’s health progress
