Telangana plans to store solar power in batteries

Beating all Indian states, Telangana has topped the country by achieving 3,250 MW solar power capacity, top officials said. Formulate comprehensive policy to stop stubble burning: NGT

The National Green Tribunal today directed Delhi and four northern states to formulate a comprehensive policy for providing incentives and infrastructural assistance to farmers to stop them from burning crop residue to prevent air pollution. Plastic ban policy draft not final yet for Maharashtra State

The state government on Tuesday told the Bombay high court that the draft policy for banning plastic and thermocol is yet to be finalized. It was replying to a bench headed by Justice Abhay Oka which heard a petition by the Maharashtra Plastic Manufacturers Association, challenging the environment department's January 2 order to all civic bodies and authorities to incorporate conditions in licences to ban manufacture, distribution, storage or sale of plastic and related items.

Renew Power inks pact with Maharashtra government for Rs 14k-crore investment

Clean energy firm ReNew Power today said it has signed a pact with the Government of Maharashtra to facilitate a proposed investment of Rs 14,000 crore in the state for commissioning renewable energy plants. Mahindra & Mahindra to invest Rs 900 crore more into e-vehicles

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) faculty members and students have developed an eco-friendly bike and an e-capacitor, which have the potential to make urban transport system pollution-free. The eco-bike ‘VEB 1.0’ (Visvesvaraya Electric Bike) has been developed by a team of 25 students from different engineering branches under the in-house Tesla Club of Innovation.
