The government of Telangana will provide preferential market access for electric vehicle (EV) companies setting up manufacturing units in the state. EV companies will get preferential market access to establish their manufacturing plants in the state. NEW DELHI : In the single largest foreign investment in India’s clean energy space, ORIX Corp. is set to invest $980 million in Greenko Energy Holdings; the Japan’ financial services firm said in a statement. Power generators allowed to recover FGD cost over plants' life

New Delhi: Old thermal power plants who have to conform to new emission standards by retrofitting their plants with Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) units have got a lifeline from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) as it has allowed generators to recover additional cost on pollution control equipment from electricity charges over a 25 year period. Kolkata: Plans are on the anvil by Coal India(CIL) to retrieve production from its discontinued underground mines. The company has so far identified 12 such mines with provisional mine-able reserves of around 1060 million tonne (MT).
