HYDERABAD: Telangana discoms, which are under the weather with mounting debts and inadequate financial assistance, are now faced with more problems. Floating PV driving Odisha solar growth

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has sent to the Government of Odisha a proposal for setting up 500 MW floating solar projects at the Hirakud reservoir. The agency has already received in-principle approval from the State Government to set up 40 MW floating PV projects at Chiplima power channel pond. Rajasthan could add 22.6 GW of new renewable energy capacity to the grid within a decade

A recent report by the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (Ieefa) forecasts that Rajasthan could add 22.6 GW of renewable energy to the grid by the end of FY2029-30. This will consist of 18 GW of new solar capacity, of which 3 GW is forecast to be distributed solar capacity (rooftop PV and solar irrigation pumps). Gujarat govt announces e-vehicle subsidy

GANDHINAGAR: The state government on Thursday announced a new scheme for promotion of electric vehicles (two and three wheelers) on the occasion of completion of eleven years of the climate change department in Gujarat. UP govt to install 8,000 solar borewells, 35 per cent in Purvanchal districts

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday said it plans to install 8,000 solar-powered borewells in coming days and 35 per cent of them would come up in the Purvanchal districts of the state. Ahmedabad: Billed as the world’s largest renewable power generation project at a single location, the proposed hybrid park in Kutch is ready to take off. Facebook aims net zero emission for entire value chain by 2030

Over 27k electric vehicles supported till Sep 10 under phase-II of FAME scheme

New Delhi:The government on Tuesday said under the second phase of FAME India Scheme, over 27,000 electric vehicles have been supported till September 10 this year by way of demand incentive amounting to about Rs 95 crore. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Prakash Javadekar said further 5,595 electrical buses have been sanctioned to various state/ city transport undertakings under Phase-II of the scheme. Total capacity of under construction thermal power projects at 59,810 MW

New Delhi: As much as 59,810 MW of thermal power generation capacity is under construction in the country which includes 23,730 MW to be developed by private players, Parliament was on informed on Tuesday. Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government on Monday revised its policy for allocating wasteland for wind, solar and hybrid (wind and solar) power generation parks.
