Fortum India to add 250MW solar power capacity every year

Finnish state-run utility Fortum Oyj’s India unit, which last year drove down solar power tariff to a new low, will set up at least 250 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity in the country every year, managing director Sanjay Aggarwal said.

Sembcorp wins India wind power project

IREDA finances Rs 10,000 crore green projects during 2016-17

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency increased its financing of green energy projects considerably in 2016-17, crossing the milestone of Rs 10,000 crore in a single year for the first time.

700 million litres of waste dumped each day: CPCB

In the key stretch of Ganga, between Haridwar and Kanpur, 30 drains are directly discharging 701 million litres/day (MLD) of waste water in the Ganga, a recent report of the Central Pollution Control Board has said. India's solar energy capacity expanded by record 5,525 MW

India’s solar energy capacity has expanded by a record 5,525.98 MW in 2016-17, according to the latest figures provided by the ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE).
