Shimla gets its first grid-connected solar power plant of 35 Kilowatt capacity

National Electricity Plan revised to make room for more coal

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has revised the National Electricity Plan (NEP) after getting feedback from more than 30 state-owned and private institutions, mostly questioning the redundancy of coal. Wind energy capacity addition declines under auction regime

BSES Delhi discoms procure 200 Megawatt wind power at low rate

Delhi electricity distribution company (discom) BSES announced it has signed a power sale agreement (PSA) with the Solar Energy Corp of India (SECI) to procure 200 MW at competitive rates.

Delhi upgrades to BS-VI fuels at no extra cost, for now

MSEDCL meets only half of solar farm pump target

The MSEDCL even after the end of three months of the stipulated time frame of December 2017 when the power company was assigned to install 10,000 solar pumps in the state under the pilot project has so far installed only 5,237 pumps till the end of February 2018.
