TN govt signs 59 MoUs for projects worth Rs 35,208 crore (including solar power plants)

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday signed 59 MoUs for projects worth Rs 35,208 crore in various sectors, including areospace and defence, which is set to create job opportunities for 76,795 people. In all, 82 initiatives, comprising 59 MoUs and 13 other projects for which foundation stones were laid and 10 commercial production launches in firms in the state, entails a total investment of Rs 52,549 crore, the government said.

US extends support to India's target of 20 pc Ethanol blending by 2025

At the twelfth ministerial-level meeting of the India-United States Trade Policy Forum (TPF) in New Delhi on Tuesday, the US marked its support to India's ambitious goal of reaching 20 per cent ethanol blending country in the next five year and expressed an interest in supplying ethanol to India for fuel purposes. 6,000 EV charging stations to be installed on 9 expressways: Union Minister Mahendra Pandey

PSUs lag behind pvt companies on ESG performance

India’s state-run companies continue to lag behind their private peers in environmental, social and governance (ESG) scores, a key criterion for fund allocation by global investors.

 

ESG data from Acuité Ratings showed that out of Nifty 50 companies, 40% of private sector companies are rated ESG risk A. In contrast, only 14% of public sector units (PSUs) are rated A. Risk A indicates an ESG leader with a largely positive track record of managing material risks.
