Enabling Equitable Access to Electricity

CEEW presents the second edition of CEEW Energy Access Dialogues, a quarterly forum where researchers and practitioners discuss their ongoing work in energy access, deliberate on its implications, explore possibilities for collaborative work, and review immediate priorities in the energy access space. The discussion will focus on rapidly evolving electricity access in India. First, we would dive into the relationship between quality of electricity supply and the utility that households derive from it, considering that improving the supply would be the next major frontier for the government. This will be followed by a discussion on electricity metering, billing, and collection in the largest Indian state, Uttar Pradesh, leveraging a recent survey jointly conducted by CEEW and the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy (ISEP).
